In my recent trip to Melbourne, my partner and I combed our past haunt that is Brunswick Street, Fitzroy. We came across the Vegetable Connection, a produce store filled with speciality grocery lines, artisan breads, gourmet cheeses and incidentally, home of the Melbourne icon – ‘Con the fruiterer’. I had the privilege to meet Jennifer Hawkins in a recent grand opening of Myer in Top Ryde Shopping centre. I wasn’t sure who went wilder over Jennifer, the crowd or the three MasterChef contestants – Adam, Callum and yours truly.
